What is SAP HANA? Why is SAP HANA a Game Changer? What Drives in-memory Computing?

Share

There is terms all around. NoSQL, NewSQL, Not-OnlySQL you name it. SAP had been working on in-memory computing for quite some time and it had solid reasons to believe next generation computing architecture will depend on in-memory computing. The CPU architectural changes are waiting to be disclosed to over come the BRICK wall made up of memory, energy and parallelization restrictions.

In the following slide deck I will briefly summarize the problems and solutions.

The implementation of this technology can be either disruptive or gradual. One needs to decide which route to  take. In a future release I will talk about those two routes.
