Lessons from a YouTube video About BIG DATA : Which country is likely to have an other billionaire created by “Big Data” wave?

Share

If you are a frequent visitor you would remember my SAP HANA video. It was just created for the fun of it. During a visit made by Sanjay Poonen (President & Corporate Officer, SAP, Technology & Innovation Products) in Turkey we were discussing about his youTube video where we was explaining what SAP’s solution portfolio was about. During our round table discussion I promised him to make a similar video with an other motive. And as promised delivered the following video

After 6 months my video took over Sanjay’s video and as of today it is within the top 10 videos viewed by “in-memory computing” lovers. more than 27,000 views.  I know when compared to PSY – GANGNAM STYLE views of 710 million views it is small but next time I will target that many views. any how the number of views are good enough for being statistically significant for an analysis. The basis of the analysis gives us some interesting information/observation.

Observation 1: Big Data is interesting for males. Yes you are correct it is not a meaningful observation. Lets try an other one. Smile

Observation 2: In terms of interest in “Big Data” and “in-memory computing” problem 2 countries show extra focused interest – USA and India. And I am happy to see that Turkey is within the top 10 country list. Therefore I assume that the likely hood of having the next billioner from those countries are pretty high.

Fact #1: Besides those observations some interesting move was done by SAP colleagues. My video was awarded as a video on http://www.youtube.com/user/saptechnology channel. It is the 36th video in the SAP HANA group with a leading view count. This is good but the following two photos will reveal an other interesting point of view.
sap hana sap
This one is prepared by SAP
sap hana ugur

This one was done by myself.

After seeing the success of my video our colleagues in SAP decided to make use of my teaching experience and they started using the same method and template. Therefore may be I should be proud to indirectly contribute.

Thanks for watching Smile

Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers?
My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing months of
hard work due to no back up. Do you have any methods to
    stop hackers?

  • Thank’s for that, some good points
